Phone Consultation (Hotline)

JASSI receives about 500 calls for assistance per year, and makes numerous reassurance calls as well. The calls come through awareness of JASSI’s availability in the community, or by referral from sources such as the Japanese Consulate General.  Requests for help are in the following areas:

• Immigration and visas
• Housing
• Consumer Issues
• Public Benefits
• Health-related Concerns
• Labor-related Issues
• Other (accidents, financial matters, divorce, domestic violence, etc.)
